Sri Lanka GDP by Grid cell - 2015

I've used both ArcGIS, QGIS and Aerialod tools to make this map.

Data was taken from Scientific data paper called "Gridded global datasets for gross domestic product and Human development taken over 1990-2015". This data is derived from GDP per capita which is multiplied by gridded population data.

In a previous project, I've made a 3D population density map of Sri Lanka and now you can compare it with GDP map and can see how different they are.

High spikes that were observed in Kandy, Batticaloa, Jaffna and Southern region were not observed in GDP map and there are No GDP areas where National parks and wildlife sanctuaries are located.
