School and domestic cricket is a hot topic in these days. So we created this map to get an idea about grass pitch grounds in Sri Lanka. We've used ArcGIS software and data was taken from espncricinfo and Google earth pro.
Overall, it appears that half of Sri Lanka's turf cricket grounds are in the Colombo district and it also appears that 13 districts do not have a single turf cricket ground.
Please note that while we have tried to include all turf cricket grounds in sri lanka, there may be some grounds that are not included here due to no source.
It should also be noted that new cricket grounds are to be built in Hettipola(Kurunegala), Polonnaruwa, Ratnapura, Badulla and Jaffna.
